how do I get a OS image on the new drive

I had to replace the SSD in my 3.2 air, How do I get a new os image on the new SSD?

MacBook Air (13-inch Late 2010), iOS 7.1

If the computer shipped with 10.6.8 or earlier, connect its original thumbdrive, restart it with the Option key held down, click on it, and install a fresh OS. On a newer MacBook Air, connect it to the Internet, press the Command and R keys at startup, and use Apple's Internet recovery system instead.
