I updated my Macbook pro and now it won't print - I get "Filter failed" error message. Please can you help me what to do??

Please could someone help me print a document from my Macbook pro. I updated it and now I can't print, I keep getting an error message "Filter failed". What should I do? Many thanks!

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

10.3 can't be installed on a MacBook Pro. If you are running 10.9.2 as your signature suggests you are, please post here:
