my apple external cd/dvd superdrive keeps ejecting discs, my apple external cd/dvd superdrive keeps ejecting discs

My external CD/DVD Superdrive which has been lightly used and just 14 months old keeps ejecting all disks? Any thoughts. I was in Africa photographing and can't burn disks from Aperture because of it. Help?
