itunes 11.1.5 not recognizing ipod classic 160gb
After updating itunes my ipod classic 160 gb is not recognized by itunes and now simply crashed... 😟 any help please?

Unfortunately apple has a bad tendency to stop supporting their older devices and software. In this case there is not much you can do. (Other than maybe contacting/complaining to apple)
Well, my 3rd gen and 4th gen iPods from 2003/2004 (as well as my 1st gen iPod shuffle) still work fine with the latest iTunes, so Apple not supporting older devices is nonsense. The owner DOES need to take care of them, so that they do not break.
If the iPod "crashed" and is not responding, the first thing to try is a Reset (restart)
I installed the last update and it solved this issue. It now works perfectily. Thanks for the help guys! 🙂
version 11.1.5 (5) is the updated version that solved this.
