Q: after i went through the restore process i was asked on itunes to put in an apple id and password. i put in the apple id and password i originally had but it doesnt work it says apple id can not be used to activate this iphone

after i went through the restore process i was asked from itunes to put in an apple id and password. i put the previouse apple id and password i had originally owned and it says theat the apple id can not be used to activate my iphone..... HELP ME PLEASE
