Contacts, on another device linked to my iCloud account, were deleted and in turn deleted the contacts on my phone also. How can I recover these contacts?

I bought a new iPhone5c and downloaded my information to it from my iCloud account. After activating this phone, I gave my daughter my old iPhone4. I did not know that phone was still linked to my iCloud account so when she deleted the contacts on the iPhone4 and replaced them with her own, it did the same to my current iPhone5c. I need to know if/how I can get those contacts back.
