How can I know if my screen supports HDCP, and what happens if I played an HD movie on a non-HDCP screen?

I have an HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15", I have a NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 630M 2 GB, and and Intel HD Graphics 4000, I have an HDMI port but my maximum resolution on the laptop's screen is 1366x768, not 1920x1080, so can I play HD movies purchased from iTunes? Or I should connect to a TV through HDMI port? If my screen doesn't support HDCP what happens when i play the movie? And one more question, is SD quality a good one on 1366x768? Thank you.
