'Forgotten password' not working

I am following the 'forgotten password' instructions for my Apple ID. However it won't accept my date of birth, and if I enter my email address it says it's sent a link but it never arrives in my inbox (and I've checked my spam box and it's not there). Does anyone have any idea what I can do?

iPod touch, iOS 6.1

I see you have tried most of the steps when attempting to reset your Apple ID password with the issue persisting. I would recommend reaching out to our account security team to assist you with this.
