Q: When is apple expected to update mavericks to fix mail???

When is apple expected to update mavericks to fix mail??? Getting fed up with mail not working.. Went into apple and they blamed gmail.. now i find out its mavericks not gmail.. Very unhappy..... I got rid of my iphone due to too many issues..... im star5ting to feel the same with my mac pro.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

    Nope not at all.... i thought there was something wrong with my computer... unfortunatley ive also downloaded it to my imac... so ive resorted to using my android phone to access mail.. really getting frustrated especially when apple "genius" told me it was gmail..

    We're you posting to resolve an issue?  I don't see where you detail what is wrong.

     

    My multiple gmail accounts work without issue.

    the issues are: somethimes cant close mail have to force quit. cant delete junk or deleted mail. i move messages only for them to delete. sending messages takes a long time. recieving messages takes a long time sometimes they wont come through... but all these issues dont arrise on my phone.. just my mac... Also i have searched and found a lot of people have issues.. they brought out a bug fix for it but didnt work. some people get the issues others dont.

    they dissapear, then i leave the junk mail and go to trash.. they arent there, i go back to junk and they are back all highlighted.. ive tried using all the different ways to delete.. same with trash

    Are these messages on the Gmail account?

    Are they actually marked as Junk (yellow-brown banner), or are they just put there because they have been marked with an X-spam header?

    If so, it might have something to do with Gmail's Labels. Instead of putting messages in folders, they tag them with mutiple labels.

     

    EDIT: for what it's worth, this is how I have set up Mail: http://jeffschuette.com/2012/03/07/setting-up-apple-mail-to-rock-and-roll-with-g mail/

    I used his original settings, but removed the IMAP Path Prefix.

    some go straight to junk others ive deleted from my inbox. they are all on gmail.. when i had my husbands email attached to my comp as well i couldnt send emails from mine it would send it from his account.. i ended up having to remove his account..

    Have you reset that Gmail account on Mail by deleting it and adding it again? If it is set up as IMAP, all the email will be on the server.

    That was caused by incorrectly setting the SMTP servers for the accounts. Both accounts were using your husbands account SMTP server. Very simple to fix but now you have removed his account slightly less simple.

    i have deleted the email account and started again.. my comp has also been to apple found nothing wrong, wipped and reloaded.. still no change. its not gmail cause ive recently downloaded gmail app and email works fine on that as well as my phone.. alsowhen you have 2 accounts it comes up a pull doen menu to select which account to use.. even though i selected mine it would still send from my husbands email... also there cant be probs because the email worked for 18mths fine until i upgraded...

    now my speakers arent working... stopped this morning.... am getting very fed up with this comp.... i dont want to travel another 20-30mins to go see them to be told... computer fine.... ITS NOT... sorry im getting annoyed...
