Mar 24, 2014 2:36 AM in response to ckirk1980by Csound1,Then reinstall OS X, clean and correct.
Or restore the backup you made before you upgraded.
never had a problem until i installed mavericks
There is always a point in time when a problem starts, drawing conclusions from that is unwise. Find out what is wrong, don't assume.
And even though Gmail works for you it is a mediocre system designed to make your information available to Google so they can sell it to others for their own income.
Good luck.

Mar 24, 2014 2:44 AM in response to ckirk1980by Csound1,You should start using a proper backup system, things go wrong sometimes, with a backup it is always possible to recover, without makes it difficult (but not impossible)
And you're welcome.

Mar 24, 2014 2:59 AM in response to ckirk1980by Csound1,It takes 15 seconds (including plugging the drive in) to setup Time Machine, 30 if you fumble.
Do it now, this is the best time to start.

Mar 24, 2014 3:28 AM in response to ckirk1980by Csound1,You may have to format the drive for a Mac if you bought Windows drives (as many do), post back if you get any messages about not being able to use the drive and I'll show you how to convert it into a Mac format.
