epson perfection 2400

I am having no success in connecting my epson perfection 2400 photo scanner.

I received a message" you can't open the application Epson because the Classic Enviroment is no longer supported"

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

The Classic Environment implies that your current scanning software was for OS 9 or before.


You could try the Epson software intended for 10.5 Leopard with 10.6 Snow Leopard. If memory serves me correctly, it worked with Snow Leopard even though it wasn't acknowledged to do so.

In any case, try using Image Capture. It should recognize your scanner, it must be powered up.
