iPhoto is Gone! Help!!

I had to reset my macbook pro. I reinstalled from the computer. I do not have the disk. I never did. Everything was preinstalled. Now my iPhoto is gone. It is not on my computer and I'm not going to buy it from the app store when I'm suppose to have it but I don't want to lose my photos.
