time capsule set up with static ip

Is set up of a time capsule the same with a static IP address as with a dynamic address?

Is it still just plug it in and use airport utility to set up.

We install a video survillance system to moniter an ill family member and the system installer says we need a static IP address.

Thanks for you help

That means static IP on the LAN side.. that is set via the airport utility and is simple to do.. just go to the Network tab in the airport utility and use the dhcp reservation.

I am not sure what version utility you are using but it looks like this in v5.
