Q: Problems reinstall software on older MacBook Retina

I have bought a new Apple Macbook Retina (Mac2) and I cannot reinstall the software on my older Macbook Retina (mac1) using a new appleID?

How can I reinstall my older Macbook with a new APPLE ID?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

You can't. Your pruchases from the Mac App Store are tied to the Apple ID that you used to purchsae them. You can't just create a new Apple ID and expect to be able to download the same software with a different ID.

Why can't you just use your old Apple ID - there's no need to have more than one...
