iPod stuck resetting?

Today i got my old iPod touch 4th gen to get it ready to sell. I wanted to fully reset it before selling and then update it after i reset it. So my iPod was running iOS 5.1.1 because i havent used it in a while. So i went into the manually reset section and i reset it. It turned off and for a breif moment it showed the apple logo and a bar underneath it but only for about 2 seconds, then it switched to this loop and it just keeps going around. I really need this and this is really starting to frustrate me. Any tip please, i could really use the help

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try another cable

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
