Images like on http://imgur.com/a/ZKhFa#zV5Hq9q do not load properly.
The load halfway, and when they become a certain size, they do not load anymore.
I have noticed this since OS X Mavericks.
Firefox and Chrome load these images properly.

Might be a Safari extension or third party plug-in preventing the images from loading properly.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect: Allow plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.

I have this same problem. Disabling extensions and plug-ins (per Carolyn Samit's suggestion) had no effect. Have you found a solution for this yet?
Try turning off auto graphics. Seems this is a bug as it happens when Safari renders images using the integrated graphics chip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxSlQ-GNbik
I'm having exactly the same problem. Safari won't load large images. Chrome and Firefox will.
However, I'm on a late-model Macbook Air (1.8 Ghz Intel Core i7) running OSX 10.9.4.
There is no option to turn off auto graphics under the Energy Saver system preference.
I've already uninstalled all third-party add-ons.
Anyone have a workaround?
