Color code multiple email accounts

Is there a way to color code different email accounts similar to iCal with different calendars?

MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Thanks to some lengthy searching through the discussion thread archives, I found and answer that will at least work on my MacBook:

1. Go to "Mail" and choose "Preferences".

2. Click on the "Rules" tab.

3. Click "Add rule".

4. Set the condition according to what you want. I chose "Account" and chose one of my multiple email accounts.

5. As "Perform the following actions", choose "Set Color" and "of background" and one of the colors.

I did this for each different email account and then had to go into all my mail folders and "select all" emails within the folder, click on Messages then choose Apply Rules.

Hope this helps others with the same question! K
