Safari quits whenever I try opening it. A "Problem Report for Safari" appearsand click to send to Apple.I ran Disk Utility and it still quits. Any suggestions?

I just went to MacUpdate and downloaded Safari and reinstalled it and it's now working. Would still like to know what happened.
