OK, another question for you. I have 4 partitions on my LaCie 1TB external. I was able to clone both 10.9.2 and 10.6.8 to it ok. However, when I try to backup either 10.6.8 or 10.9.2 (separately) to the 3rd and 4th partition with Time Machine the info TM is giving me is that it’s backing up an amount equal to about both HD’s or about 130 GB when HD1 has 60.6GB and HD2 has 70 GB???

My handle is appropriate, I had read it before and I wasn't doing the exclusions correctly. Just a little slowwwww on the uptake,😕. Not as swift as I might have been 50 years ago. I even screwed up the "this solved my problem", sorry.
