You've supplied no information at all, so it's impossible to say. What happens when you try? Are you publishing to FTP or a local folder? If FTP, have you verified that the settings are correct? (You can test the connection on the settings page.)
By the way, iWeb is defunct and no longer being developed by Apple. At some point it's likely to stop working with newer OS versions.
Matt
I have host excellence as a provider host. It is FTP and have verified the settings. The connection has been tested and host excellence says that the iweb software has probably expired since there have been no changes to keep it compatible with the rest of the world. I guess your right and it is defunct and this ***** because i have to find a new software and redevelop a new website from scratch which *****.
It says underneath your profile that you are using iWeb 08? If this is correct, then iWeb 08 does not have a built in ftp client and you have to publish your site to a local folder and upload your files directly to your server using something like Cyberduck. Also, iWeb 08 will not work properly with Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks.
It sounds as if you are using iWeb 09 and this does still work with Lion, Mountain Lion and Mavericks.
HostExcellence are a webhosting company and as such, have no clue about iWeb and they are incorrect - iWeb will not and does not just expire like that - it still works at the moment with the latest OS, but there will come a time when it may not.
If the built in ftp does not work, then you will need to publish your site to a local folder and then use an ftp programme such as Cyberduck, Transmit or Yummy Ftp to upload your files to your server. This does work, as I have used HostExcellence as a host in the past and always uploaded my files in this way with no problems at all.
It might be easier to think about re-building your site now with new software, so why not take a look at EverWeb at http://www.everwebapp.com. This is very much like iWeb, but you can do a lot more.
I'm having a similar problem: I have iWeb 09 and in the past I've been able to link easily to my uTube videos.
This is no longer the case for some reason.
I followed some advice on here a while back about not using the uTube widget on iWeb to paste in my code, better to use the html widget. This I did and aways had success. Now, I follow the same process, but the video does not show in iWeb, nor when I 'go to site' to check it before uploading it. All there is is a white square - the dimensions of the video, I guess.
I'm at a loss, knowing what to do now. Any help, as always, would be appreciated.
Fail to see the relevance of your problem to the question that started this topic.
Anyway, put your pages on the server and the YT movie will play.
Here's a part of the code why it does not play in iWeb, nor on the Desktop :
src="//www.youtube-nocookie
I leave it to the experts to tell what is missing.
Oh, and do not think the code is wrong. It isn't.
I've sorted out my problem! What I did (maybe I forgot) was to use simply the URL, rather than the embed code and actually use the uTube widget - not the HTML widget, after all!
So all's well - please don't write - everything's fine.
If you'd like to hear my own recording of our glorious Song Thrush (the video I couldn't upload), please visit:

I see you use the YT Widget.
Nothing wrong with that, but the code is what YT calls "Old code".
If you use the iframe embed code, YT will provide more up to date code. At least that's what I experience.

And for the experts, here's an explantion of the missing http: in the URL :
I have a very large iWeb - developed website (800 files) that was working fine until GoDaddy said they could not contact me to renew the web hosting service (via emails I never saw) and dropped the website altogether. It is not an active website, but a place to keep important documents in the "cloud."
In any case, I have been scrambling to upload the website and all the pages and return control to iWeb for changes.
I have published to a file using iWeb and uploaded it using FileZilla as you suggested.
I'd like to return control of any changes to iWeb, but whenever I try to "replace" the files with those from iWeb, the upload gets partially complete (the little expanding pie symbol progresses) iWeb says "Publish Error - there was an error communicating with the FTP server. Try again later, or check with your service provider." GoDaddy has said they do not timeout uploads. Would my ISP know anything about if there were a timeout limit, or is there an inherent iWeb timeout that I might bypass?
Is there a way to upload it in pieces?
