Cannot finish installing Windows 7 bootcamp because I can't use my mouse

Hi everyone,

I just bought an iMac (Mavericks) last week and am trying to bootcamp it. I downloaded a 64 bit windows 7 iso from Microsoft and used Bootcamp assistant to save it to USB, restarted my computer and chose to start up windows. Windows began to install but it gets to the point where it asks me to select a language to continue the installation. I can't select anything with my mouse. I tried 2 different USB ones and magic mouse. I read other posts about this but I cannot find a solution. The mouse works on the screen where I am able to select the partitions upon startup but then disappears when windows begins to install. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)
