Q: I have all of the requirements, how come my mac still will not let me install the update?

My MAC tells me I cannot install OS X Mavricks, why? It has all of the requirements..

    It depends on the error message that you're getting... before installation Mavericks checks your drive for any errors. If errors are found it will not install.

     

    To eliminate this as a possibily, open Disk Utility (Applications>Utilities), select your hard drive partition (usually "Macintosh HD") and click on the Verify button. If you get red text telling your that the drive needs repair, Mavericks will not install (and you've other things to worry about at that point).

    You will need to tell us a lot more about what model your Mac is and it's tech specs.
