2013 Macbook Pro retina GPU??

was reading a independant review on the New MBP Retina, the article suggested that this new laptop

was all mighty and powerful rendering 4k files, ect. The general specs. throughout are excellent and the screen

is remarkable, but i was wondering about the GPU perhaps being a little inept in this type of system and the hefty

price tag? Is a GT750 really able to do some serious video editing? on the surface the reviews of this card are nothing

extraordinary and i've come across a few laptops namely Asus and HP with comparative GTX780 and Quadro cards for

the same price?

i'd like to know what everyones thoughts and impression were on this, thanks.

•The 13-inch MacBook Pro has an Intel Iris 5100 graphics card;

uses up to 1GB shared memory. •While the 15-inch MacBook Pro

has two versions of graphic configurations; an Intel Iris Pro 5200

(2.0GHz MB/Pro) or NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M and Intel Iris Pro

5200 (2.3GHz & 2.6GHz MB/Pro) w/ graphics memory 2GB GDDR5

(GeForce GT.) Up to 1GB shared from main memory (Iris Pro.)

Automatic graphics switching in 15-inch MB/Pro top model w/ 2GPUs.

Of course, specifications are subject to change without notice and

I see there now are New Models listed in the MacBook Pro page:

http://store.apple.com/us/buy-mac/macbook-pro

These also have specs that differ on supported external or secondary

displays; the 15-inch has fairly good larger screen support HDMI.

So I'm not certain about reviews, as I have not compared the specs

to other series of hardware. You can look into specs at Apple Store,

also some Support site pages for the product; plus EveryMac.com,

& a good offline (download) database from http://mactracker.ca

Hopefully whatever you choose works out well.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
