Q: won't open imovie. says it's doing an update.

When I try to open iMovie it says it' can't open because it's doing an update. Well, it's been doing it all day. So obviously nothing is happening. I went to the library to Preferences and there are no iMovie preferences. Now what?

iMac running Maverick.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.3

Hey Raschella2013!

You may want to make sure that your download is not stalled because of interruption. More information on interrupted downloads can be found here:

If that is not the issue, try simply restarting your computer:
