Using External Hard Drive for your music and organizing with iTunes

When you have 10 thousands of songs and you do not want to use your internal hard drive.


The first thing the external hard drive has to be format for Mac next create a folder call music, then put all the your music inside before you continue.


Important NOTE : The external hard drive you need to have full access to read and write.

It will NOT work if you got the hard drive from a windows system will be only able to read only the data.


Second open iTunes then go upper menu bar click on iTunes then go to preference, The pop menu for advance preference opens then go to advance tab.

Under iTunes Media Location select change look for your external drive point into the music folder click ok.


The software will orginized and create a new folders for iTunes orginzer.
