Correct duplicate account

My original account, firstnamelastname was renamed WRONGNAME during a reinstall.

Recently I tried to correct it and was able to change WRONGNAME to Firstname.

However, something went wrong and while all data is in the account, Finder folder icons aren't displaying correctly:

(I've run Disk Utilty to repair errors and done PRAM reset multiple times with no change.)

I've also discovered that account firstnamelastname remains. Is there a way to consolidate account Firstname and Firstnamelastname to correct the Finder error?

This shows the current users:

I'd like to correct the users so that sugithvarughese becomes the user for the account Sugith. sugithvarughese WAS the original account and user. Doing a reinstall caused a home folder name change which I tried to correct causing the duplication that I now need to correct.

Any help or links would be appreciated.
