Notes won't open

I had this same problem after updating to ios 10, until a nice apple tech showed me how to fix it.

On my iphone 6 i opened settings / icloud / make sure notes has the green slide arrow turned on.

If it is not there & turned on, you must scroll to the bottom & sign out. (it'll say all is lost but they

do show back). A new notes must be created in icloud & when u see merge, do it. Now sign back

in using your apple login id......Thank me later!

Try force closing the app. Double tap the home button. When you see the app icons line up on the screen scroll sideways if needed to get the notes app onto the screen. Flick the preview for the notes app up and off the screen to force close it. Then single tap the home button to exit that mode.

my notes app suddenly closed and wouldn't re open, to fix it I tried turning the iPhone off and on again and asking Siri to open it and nothing worked. To re open the notes app search for something you know is in your notes and it should let you view that one note, from there click in the bottom right corner to make a new note and this should fix notes

Glad i could help. And now u can help me! This yellow notes color that keeps changing has got to go!

Apple should be punished for not putting a means to change colors!

As crazy as this sounds tell Siri open Notes. If it stays open it should work normally after that. Also you can try Spotlight Search.

Try restarting it,hold the lock button and home screen button together for 10-15 seconds.
