contacts backed up but restore only showing half on new phone

Ok guys new to this i backed up my iphone on itunes in the knowledge i was getting new one from work the next day.

which i did i got home and restored the phone from the last back up everything transferred except all my contacts only some transferred help please all the work contacts are more or less gone. i downloaded ibotbackup and in this i can see all the contacts that im missing arein the last back up but i cannot get them to restore to my phone help please
