iMac Screen doesn't work. External is Only Display by default.

So basically what is going on is that my iMac screen itself isn't even registering in the displays. My External is the only screen registering to Display as my only monitor. Doesn't show as "Mirrored" and when i hit Detect Displays, nothing else is detected.

Some things that I have read on other threads about the video cards faulting out, but that leads to both screens not working at all. And if it was a "backlight" issue, it still registers as a display, but is just very dim if you were to take a flashlight to it.

Does any one have any leads on my problem?
