MESSAGE NOT REMOVED FROM OLD DEVICE
If you have registered your device in your profile then go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.doand click on you your old device in the profile and "unregister" it there. If you have not registered it there change your Apple ID password.
I already unregistered it from there and I still can't receive messages.
Call AppleCare & ask to talk to "Account Security". They will fix while you're on the phone.
Is this happening when iDevice users send you messages, from other devices, or both?
I saw this before and it was because iDevice users were still mistakenly sending messages using the user's Apple ID email address - which of course would send via iMessage not standard SMS.
