Q: Some podcast episodes sync to iTunes, some don't

Hi community. I have some podcasts subscribed in podcast app on the iPhone. They show up in iTunes as well without having iTunes sync on. I guess it syncs via iCloud. After a while the stations show up as well. But for unknown reason some podcasts don't sync the heard/unheard status to the iTunes instance. How can I find out whats happening here?
