When I go to my "mail" I get a box that says "Cannot get mail, check settings....." while at the same time, my mail is delivered behind the box.
The question is......how do I get rid of the box? The e-mail comes in fine!
iPhone 5c, iOS 7.0.4, Blue!

Have you tried a reset?
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)
Thanks for the suggestion to reset, but it did not work. I still get the box. The exact wording in the box is as follows:
"The mail server "mail.twc.com" is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings.
That's what is says as the mail (if there is any) appears behind it.
Have you checked with TWC to make sure you're using the correct settings required to use their email on a mobile device?
Yes, and they said to use these settings and have an iPhone person help me configure them. Round and round we go!
I appreciate your time in trying to help me. Thanks.
Your user name and password are entered into the incoming and outgoing server settings?
Yes they are.
