Q: old mac mini to new mac mini

How do I connect my old mac mini (3) running 10.6.8 which has 2.53 ghz and intel core duo to the new mac mini? I need these 2 machines to talk to each other and want to use the CD/DVD in the old mini instead of buying yet another separate piece of equipment. What will make this work?

Connect them to the same network and then:
DVD or CD sharing: Using Remote Disc

To the same network, either via Ethernet or wifi.
Did you look at the link (light-blue text) in my previous reply.,

You can also connect the two Macs via FireWire and boot the old Mac in Target Disk mode.
