record midi click into midi notes for Groove Template?

I have changed my midi click track from Klopfgeist to my own sound. Works great!

I created my Click Tempo using Beat Mapping from a song.

Now I would like to see the actual midi notes of the Tempo in my midi track, so that I may create a Groove Template.

P.S.

I don't want to record the midi track into an audio track.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who knows.

Thanks,

micdim

Here's how I figured out this problem.

1. Go into the Environment/Click & Ports

2. Create a cable from the Midi Click Instrument to the Sequencer Input

3. Go back to the mixer, and create a track from the midi Click Channel Strip

4. Record the midi click into a midi track with all the notes.

5. Now I can create a Groove template.

P.S.

Make sure you record only from bar 1 & not before. There seems to be some issues with this.

Once again if anyone can let me know of a better and faster way I would very much like that.
