Transfering iPod photos and pictures to Samsung Galaxy S4...?

I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy S4, and I still have to transfer over all of my music. I have an iPod Touch, and our sales associate told us that the easiest way to transfer purchases from iTunes to Android was through the cloud. I do not know how to do this like I thought I did. Also, I just noticed that some of the purchases that I had made on iTunes had not transfered over onto iTunes on the computer, which means they cannot transfer over. The songs that were purchased showed up on emailed receipts and the purchase button on iTunes, but were not showing up in my music library. How can I recover these purchases without purchasing them again? How can I transfer my photos and music over to my new phone? Please help!!!
