Power adapter is working (tested on another mac) but my mac won't charge

I was using my Macbook with the L power adaptor just fine last night when the chord got accidentally disconnected from the computer. When I went to plug it back in, the computer would not charge. I've had this issue before, which is generally fixed by unplugging from the wall socket and plugging it back in. This didn't work. I tried several different outlets, tried jiggling the connector on the Mac, etc. Took the power adaptor to work today to test on my work Mac, and it worked fine. I reset the computer by taking out the battery and holding the power button down for 5 seconds, then turned it back on and tried the adapter again... still nothing. Any ideas if this is a fixable problem (resonably) or is my computer done for?

Start with the troubleshooting article you reference, http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1713 and if the connector is clean and alligned correctly, take the MacBook and charger to an Apple store genius bar and have the techs check it out...that part is free. They can tell you what needs repair and how much it will cost.
