Q: Why did HL-5250DN stop working?

OK, maybe it's a Brother problem, but it coincided with V 10.9.2 system upgrades for our two Mac Minis. The network still functions otherwise.

By now, this old guy has probably made the situation worse, so step-by-sep instructions on where to find and how to install a new driver would be welcome.

I'm embarrassed. There was no problem I can blame on either Apple or Brother. Since assembing crystal-set radios in the '40s, I've known that the first things one should check are wires (cables) and connections. Oh well, no exuse now for avoiding TurboTax.
