Photos is locked up. Frozen. I can't get any reaction out of any of the blue hyperlinks (that's a guess -- but they are blue), nor any pictures shown. Photos and albums (grayed out) at the bottom of the single screen I can see also don't do anything. Can't scroll, up and down or side to side.
How do I break through the world of silence and get under the hood?
I've tried resetting selections in Photos & Camera, to no avail.

RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost).
