quicktime freezes and requires force close

I have to force close quicktime after a video ends it seems to happen everytime now for about a week now is this a common bug for others or what should I do to fix this? MacBook Pro Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013 running on OS X Mavericks Version 10.9.2
