Q: How do I delete purchased songs playing on Apple TV from iCloud without iTunes match.

I have a lot of songs that come up on my Apple TV that I would like to delete, using the MUSIC section of Apple TV.

I have already:

1. Deleted them from my iTunes library and chosen to "hide" them from iCloud (delete was not an option)

2. Turned off iCloud on Apple TV - songs still show up

3. Signed in and out of iTunes account on Apple TV & Mac

4. Restarted  iTunes on Mac

5. Restarted Apple TV

If I use the computer section of Apple TV the songs are not there. The problem with that is I have to have my computer on, open and using iTunes to have that work which is not always convenient.

I see plenty of info online on how to DELETE (not hide) purchased songs from iCloud if you have iTunes Match - which I do not have and do not want.

I have tried to log into iCloud via the "Purchased" section of my iTunes account but the only option I was given was to "unhide" not delete the songs there. Now, for some reason the songs I chose to "hide" originally don't even show up there.

My main question again: How do I STOP songs that I don't want from playing on my Apple TV using the MUSIC section of Apple TV?

Apple TV, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

    Exact same issue.

Very frustrating that there is no obvious way to manage/hide/unhide/delete/etc... music on the ATV.

However, my issue originates from the fact that when I purchase music via iTunes store, I immediately convert to AAC version to remove DRM *&%#$ so I can play on other devices. This means that EVERY song that I purcahase via iTunes on my Macbook shows up twice on the ATV. I can hide the duplicates on my Macbook, but the ATV has no option to do this; so I listen to the same songs over, and over, and over, and over again...
