I cannot use my iCloud Keychain as I had to wipe my iPad clean and I have a new phone number. Says it was sending code to that number which I no longer have, help!

I had to restore my iPad 2 as it froze during the update. Now when I tried to pull from the iCloud I cannot accept the keychain as I have a new phone number and it says it is sending info to that number.

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 7.1

Change the number from a device/Mac that already has iCloud keychain set up on it by doing the following:


  • Devices using iOS 7.0.3 or later: Tap Settings > iCloud > Account, then tap Keychain. Check that the phone number listed under Verification Number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
  • Macs using OS X Mavericks v10.9 or later: Choose Apple () menu > System Preferences. Click iCloud, then click Account Details. Check that the phone number listed under Verification number is correct. If not, enter another phone number.
