Q: I can't get enhanced dictation to work

It only works when I let the Apple servers interpret. When I check the "enchanced dication" box, it doesn't work. I double tap on the Fn key, speak, and it comes out blank. No words. Is there a reason why I can't get enhanced dictation to work?

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9), 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7

Enhanced Dictation requires a substantial additional download. The first time you try to use it, you must be connected to the internet.

I guess I should have mentioned it worked before the most recent update. 10.9.0 and 10.9.1 it worked, but since the 10.9.2 update it stopped working.
