I cannot quit Safari. Also prevents me from logging out of my site.

Hi

I can't quit SAFARI no matter what I try. Also prevents me to log out of my site and switch to another site (user). Have to turn imac off to get out of it. But will SAFARI open again when rebooted. Any idea what I could do? Thanks!

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Press Command-Option-Esc, then select the unresponsive app from the Force Quit window

that appears, and click Force Quit.

If that does not help, press and hold the power button for 7 seconds or more.

Computer will shut down.

Restart the computer.

Hold the shift key down and launch Safari.
