Q: Can't install OS X 10.9.2 Mavericks update

I need to install an OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 update on my new MacBook Pro. It took almost 24 hours and then, with just a couple of hours to go, it said "An error has occurred. Didn't get a response from the Apple Software Update Server when downloading OS X Update Combined (-1001)".

I've tried several times and it just won't finish the downloading process. Any ideas?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2)

Go here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1726 to download directly. See if that works better.

Depends on the connection, sometimes can be a good 40 minutes or more. Last time I did the 10.9.2 download I think it took that long.

Thank you. There must be something wrong with the router. Even using an ethernet connection, through a Thunderbolt Adapter, it downloads for a few hours then comes up with the error message again.
