My ipod touch 2nd gen keeps locking itself

My ipod touch 2nd gen keeps locking itself every 2 seconds, no matter what i go on, its just locks so i can't do anything, i've even done factory reset, then plugged it in to itunes to set it back up and that didn't work

Has this happened to any body else. Does anybody have a solution for this problem?
