Q: I need to export a Premier project to Apple ProRes 422 HQ

A friend offered to grade and color correct a project that was edited in Adobe Premier 5. The original footage was shot on a canon c300. He asked for an Apple ProRes 422 HQ export. Has anyone solved this problem and can you help?

If you've got fcp7 installed on your system, you should be able to use compressor to do the conversion.   If the prores codecs exist on the machine with premiere, you should be able to export from within premiere with the prores codec.  At least you can with Premiere 5.5 which I have on my system.  The Adobe Media Encoder is not particularly inuitive.  If you need any help with it, post back.

I'm assuming that the premiere output is h264.
