I really cannot figure out why my find function does not work anymore, the little field for the search wont' come up and I tried anything, re-installing also Mavericks on my system but no way, it does not work....
is there any solution? it is very incredible...
Command and f key is the keyboard shortcut for find in Safari.
I know, in fact invoking it typing option+F does not show the field tab to insert the text you need to search..

I was meaning command+F not option+F as in the title, sorry..
I installed Mavericks and took data of my previous hard disk, it seemed that commad+F worked but just for a while.. strange behaviour, but I see Safari is a big problem for many here..

I don't have this behavior - command-f works fine. Does the Find command work when you access it from the Edit menu? Consider an extension problem, or a third party software conflict. Does this bad behavior persist for a different user, e.g., Guest? Does this bad behavior persist when starting up in Safe Mode?
no, it doesn't. already erased all the plug ins and any 3rdparty sw.

still no solution, I tried to clone the hd since I changed with an SSD, but the problem persist.. I will switch to another browser since the FIND function is a must qhen surfing.
