I have a 15" MBP with a 27" cinema display. First systoms of external display failure: Screen would flicker and then go blank. I would un-plug the DP cord, screen on MBP would become active and work fine. Recycle power on cinema, connect DP cord, OK

I would un-plug the DP cord, screen on MBP would become active and work fine. Recycle power on cinema, connect DP cord, OK. This worked for a number of screen going black cycles. Now the cinema display does not even light up. MBP screen working fine with all cords connected or not connected.

Is the cinema display the problem? or cords? Is repair an option? or just replace.
