Help in recovery mode. Can't repair disk?

So my computer froze while using Safari last night so I did a simple restart using the power key. Still wasn't working so eventually I made my way to internet recovery. I tried reinstalling OS mavericks but there isn't any option to install it on my hard drive. In disk utility the only drives or disks are called disk0 and OS X base system, the usual macintosh hd isn't there. Whatever OS Base System is, it doesn't give me the option to repair it. Is there anything I can do?
