Can't install maverick on my wiped out late 2013 retina macbook pro. Please help.

So, i decided to install windows 8.1 alongside mavericks on the mac and tried using bootcamp which failed, so i manually created a partiton using disk utility which worked, later i decided to create a shared partition so windows and mac could share files on the harddrive. i decided to format the drive in windows which i thought worked well, until i had to restart the computer only to realise it had completely wiped out my mac os x and recovery partition. Ive tried everything possible, even have a bootable maverick available on usb, yet everytime i choose the maverick setup to install using the (option) button it shows a stop sign. please help me figure this out. Final year student in architecture. Any information would be appreciated.

thanks.

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2), Late 2013 model, 512gb, 16gb ram,i7

Hi dodzi_k,

If a reformat from Windows removed the Recovery partition and is preventing the reinstall of Mavericks, you may need to boot to Internet Recovery to reformat the drive. You may find the following articles helpful:
